VOLCANO CAMP

Volcano Camp is a two-day immersive for members of the trade by invitation.  Limited spaces will be available for the keynote session & lunch on May 7th from 11am-4pm at Obsidian Ridge Vineyard in Kelseyville, CA. KEYNOTE SESSION ITINERARY

10am: Hike a Volcano with Geologists Seth Burgess (USGS) and Phil Mooney (SSU)

11am: Layers of Influence-Primary vs Weathered Volcanic Soils
Ryan Woodhouse (K&L Wine Merchants) moderates a panel of geologists, viticulturists and winemakers as we taste and discuss two flights of wines from volcanic winegrowing regions around the world. 

12:30pm: Asado lunch prepared by Chef Kevin O'Connor

2:30pm: Selling the Edge-How Do We Talk About Volcanic Wines?
An open forum to explore the stories that connect vineyards halfway around the world in an industry focused on AVA.

4pm: Adjourn

6pm: Paella dinner at Peace & Plenty Farm
