Harvest Intern
Obsidian Wine Company has opportunities for harvest cellar interns to assist with the vintage each year. We seek motivated, hard working, fun and detail oriented cellar interns to work within a small, highly experienced and dedicated winemaking team on all aspects of harvest winery operations and have exposure to some extremely talented, successful, and well known winemakers through our custom crush program. Previous cellar experience a plus but not a deal breaker. Harvest positions start the first week of September and run through mid-November. We also have a spot for an early starter, joining our team in August to help us prep for the vintage.
We are focused on making the finest wines from our estate vineyards aged in our proprietary cooperage. That’s right, we own our own cooperage and make our own barrels. We make Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from our Napa Carneros property and Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah from our hillside vineyard in the Red Hills of Lake County. As well as some more esoteric and fun projects that you will get hands on experience with. The right candidate will also work with some of the finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay the west coast has to offer through our custom crush clients and be exposed to various talented, well respected winemakers and their unique winemaking styles. Obsidian Wine Company’s production winery is located in downtown Sonoma.

Part-Time Wine Club & Phone Sales Associate
We’re seeking a personable, detail-oriented team member to join our direct-to-consumer (DtC) team—someone who creates community and connections, not just transactions.
This role is centered around supporting our Obsidian community by phone, text, and email—connecting, listening, and helping people discover wines that feel right for them. It’s a high-volume inbound and outbound sales & service role, but it shouldn’t feel like a call center. Think of it as virtual hospitality involving ongoing conversations with club members, frequent customers—ie people who already share an interest in what we do.
You’ll guide customers naturally, offering thoughtful, personal recommendations and building relationships over time. Alongside sales outreach, you’ll support wine club operations, customer service, and fulfillment—and occasionally National Sales—working closely with our Customer Relations Director and DtC Coordinator to support ongoing engagement with our wine club and mailing list members.
If you’re interested, there also may be an opportunity to spend time working at our Base Camp Tasting Room alongside the team.

Part-Time Tasting Room Associate
We recently opened our tasting room, Obsidian Base Camp, in the heart of the historic Sonoma Square. We are a fun, hardworking, professional team focused on providing down-to-earth hospitality, an unpretentious tasting experience, sharing our stories, and building solid relationships with our customers and members.
This position is perfect for someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people while flexing their hospitality and sales experience. If you are someone that is excited about hospitality, and selling wine through stories is your super-power, this position may just be for you. We need someone who is available to work on the weekends and occasional after-hour events.
To be a good fit, you should be:
