For those who revel in old world style settings (and old world style wines grown in California), join us at the Cellar Table. Your journey begins with a stroll through a ‘grand boulevard’ of barrels, all crafted from oak grown in the Tokaji Forests of our native Hungary. Here, you’ll learn about the age-old practice of growing, harvesting, and coopering oak—and of course, the profound effect it has on the wine.
Discover the importance of tightly ringed oak in barrel making, and the effects of toasting oaks from lightly to heavily, and how the process translates in the glass.
While you’re here, you’ll marvel at our dynamic diorama table, which uses projection mapping to animate microclimates, weather patterns, growth patterns, fire season, and other natural factors that shape each wine we make.
A tasting at the Cellar Table is an education about far more than our wines and barrels. You’ll also learn about the winemaking cycle that works in harmony with nature, sustains generations of families, builds community, creates jobs, and carves a path for a better future.
