VOLCANO CAMP 2024

Our first ever Volcano Camp is an immersive 2-day deep-dive for the trade to explore the impacts of volcanic geology, climate, and elevation on farming, wines, and barrels. 

4/16: Day 1 is for a select group of sales reps (aka campers) from distributor partners around the country. 

4/17: Day 2 will feature our Keynote Session for campers, key trade and media, by invitation only.

Wednesday, April 17, 2024
10am - 4pm

10am: We will begin the day at Obsidian Ridge Vineyard, at nearly 3,000 feet elevation, with an optional short hike and tour of the site with our own Peter Molnar.

11am: The Terroir of Volcanics - Climate, Geology, Viticulture & Soils
Roundtable discussion with a panel of experts on volcanics and the impact on grape growing.

1pm: Asado lunch by Chef Kevin O'Connor served with volcanic wines of the world.

2:30pm: The Curious World of Volcanic Wine - Culture & Character
Roundtable discussion of the human perspective of volcanics from winemakers and somms.

4pm: Keynote Session concludes

5pm: Guests are invited to join the campers for a tour of a local agritourism farm, Peace & Plenty Farm.
